Music NFTs, From a New Angle
This is a new era for the Bitsong Ecosystem. More importantly, this is a new era for Artists.
YO! It is a true privilege to introduce Bitsong Accounts, a smart contract framework for tokenized accounts. This paves a path for artist & collectives to interact & navigate blockchain ecosystems with a full-suite of interoperable, self-custodial, & sovereign tools at their disposal.
Bitsong Accounts can be used in a manner that abstract complexity away for both artists & developers for things like cross chain actions or multi-account management, all without sacrificing function.
Why?
This started from a goal to fund & research design patterns that create opportunities for more artist & end users to experience the benefits of sovereign tooling.
This design needed a system where ownership can be sold or transferable, & accounts are compatible to plug & play different ownership authentication & verification techniques, such as O-Auth or other adopted cryptographic designs.
Capabilities of Accounts
By infusing the existing Abstract Framework & Stargaze Names systems, bAccounts operate as an artist or collective:
Message Circuit Board - Can broadcast any message through the account. This includes cross-chain messages, via IBC.
Treasury / Vault : - Can hold funds for users inside the bAccount, just like a normal wallet. bAccount owners have the ability to transfer, revoke or rotate the keys that can interact with an account.
Personal App Store: - Each bAccount is equipped with the ability to install account modules, which extend what bAccounts are able to accomplish.
Multi-Account Management Interface: Sub-accounts are accounts owned by another accounts! Artist with different aliases, band members, or even management teams that want managing artist on-chain life easier can use sub-accounts & design them on a per use-case basis.
Use Cases
From file storage, to scheduling recording times, to managing artist portfolio, the use-cases that will surface from the creativity of artist using bAccounts are pretty damn exciting. Plan on more articles to come that will highlight some default use cases in further detail. (Would love to also hear how you think artist will make use of bAccounts).
How Bitsong plans to use bAccounts
